Temperature compensation

Temperature compensation refers to a measure for counteracting or correcting an undesired temperature influence. Ideally, temperature compensation will eliminate all effects of a change in temperature on the measured value delivered by a sensor. Particularly where ultrasonic sensors are used, this function plays an important role, since temperature influences have a significant impact on the ultrasound time-of-flight, and can therefore distort the calculated distance value.
