VISTAL® is a high-strength fiberglass-reinforced plastic characterized by mechanical properties that are significantly better than those of standard plastic materials (e.g., + 900% elastic modulus according to ISO 527, or + 400% Brinell hardness according to ISO 2039‑1). This results in a highly rugged and bend-resistant sensor housing. Another benefit of VISTAL® is that the material is resistant to chemicals and therefore does not react adversely to cleaning agents or production chemicals.
