Instead of relying on manual bookings and rigid processes, the company sought out a solution that would intelligently accompany the material flow. The solution had to be automatic, demand-driven and able to be seamlessly integrated. A system that meets these requirements was developed in collaboration with automation expert SICK, and it redefines intralogistics.
At its core, the solution combines UWB-based localization, a central software platform for connecting ERP and machine data, and an automated control system for AGV transport orders. The result is a complete, digital map of the entire material flow. This system offers more transparency, automates bookings and enables material transport with almost no delays.
“The new solution allows us to control the material flow in a flexible, needs-based way in line with the pull principle – and has increased our productivity in the long term,” says Holger Obergföll, CEO of Neugart GmbH. There are also many other exciting things to discover at SICK – for example, the new generation of real-time localization systems: the UWB-based, omlox-compliant Coriva System and CorivaHub. Coriva is a central software solution for converting location data into standardized, globally consistent geo-coordinates.
