Detection of knots for length optimization

Regardless of the surface of the board, the LUT9 luminescence sensor detects marks around knots which have been applied using chalk, ink, labels, or florescent markers. The PowerProx MultiTask photoelectric sensor also detects the leading edge of wooden board precisely, thereby making it possible to cut the knots in order to optimize the length of the board.
