Positioning of grippers when installing a gearshift assembly
When installing a gearshift assembly, an elastic cover is stretched over the gearshift installed on the floor of the vehicle. To ensure trouble-free execution of this process, an MPS-C position sensor measures the displacement of the pneumatic cylinder piston on the grippers used to secure the elastic cover. Three possible states of the elastic cover are detected: correctly, partially, or not secured.
