SICK has been awarded the complete CEMS systems packages for a large coal fired power plant near Dubai.
The flue gas emission levels are set to follow the IED (Industrial Emissions Directive) of the European Union. SICK is supplying the continuous emissions monitoring systems MCS100 EHW, the wet dust monitors FWE200DH , the ultrasonic flowmeters FLOWSIC100 for stack flow, as well as the MEAC2000 data acquisition system. The systems will be housed in walk-in shelters equipped with air conditioning systems to protect the equipment. The Data acquisition system will be able to produce reports on total emissions for the local authorities.
The supply and start-up of the equipment will be staggered over the next 4 years as the plant is constructed and put into operation.
