Personnel detection and machine safety

Since their introduction more than 30 years ago, automated guided vehicles (automated guided vehicles) are mobile, collaborative machines which share traffic routes with manned industrial trucks and persons. Reliable person detection systems are required to prevent danger to persons in these surroundings. Due to international standards such as DIN EN 1525 and ANSI B56.5, high requirements are placed on these systems.
