Online adhesive bead monitoring
In order to ensure adequate quality of the adhesive connection, the adhesive bead must be monitored. If a Profiler 2 short-range distance sensor is directly mounted on the dispensing head, the online evaluation of the position, profile, and quality of the adhesive bead is possible at the bonding station during the application of the adhesive. The Profiler 2 then immediately indicates whether the parts were properly or improperly bonded. This saves time and prevents defective parts, which would otherwise have to be sorted out of the process at a later stage.
