Hazardous point protection at a joining station

The miniTwin safety light curtain secures access at a joining station to prevent human intervention during an active process. The benefits of this light curtain include its small size and adjustable holders, as well as a lack of blind zones. The combined use of a safety relay or the Flexi Soft safety controller allows the simple configuration of safety functions and the integration of additional sensors, such as the ES11 emergency stop pushbutton. Control can be tested and optimized even before implementation using the offline simulation feature of the Flexi Soft Designer software. With the addition of Flexi Loop, safety command devices from multiple joining stations can be connected in series with minimal cabling work.
