Collaborating robots with hollow shaft motors

To prevent personal injury, collaborative robots may only have internally routed cables. The simplest way to achieve this is with hollow shaft motors. A flexible motor feedback system is required for this purpose. The non-contact, absolute motor feedback system rotary HIPERFACE® STS perfectly satisfies these requirements, as it can be flexibly adapted to the diameter of the hollow shaft.
