Intelligent occupancy detection of workpiece carriers

Using the “load mapping” function, the W4F photoelectric proximity sensor detects the occupancy of workpiece carriers while they are moving and transmits the information about the occupied and unoccupied locations to a higher control level, e.g., a robot controller. Compared to the use of 2D and 3D vision systems, the W4F not only saves investment costs, but also reduces integration effort.
