Industry 4.0 Portfolio

Since 2004, we have consistently worked to implement intelligent sensor technology in more and more product versions. This technology is the key to Industry 4.0 and is already embedded in a wide range of networked application solutions.

With the increasing complexity of sensor-based solutions, the individual programming of sensors is becoming more and more important. Our open programming platform SICK AppSpace takes this development into account: It offers system integrators and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) the freedom and space to develop application solutions to fit the specific requirements of application descriptions.

We are already helping to implement transparent processes in production and logistics in a range of industries – using RFID-based track-and-trace-solutions, for example. Our wide selection of 2D and 3D vision sensors also provides networked solutions for positioning, detection, inspection, and quality control – individually or even simultaneously.

As safety experts, we are also focusing on the evolving production processes of Industry 4.0: In the factory of the future, teams of robots and people will work hand in hand. And we are prepared for this change: Our safe control solutions allow overarching safety functions in production to be networked together and controlled with complete flexibility.

For years, we have been networked with our customers all over the world: We use remote maintenance systems to provide efficient and immediate support during plant commissioning, and when analyzing device data, loading new machine parameters, viewing machine log books, remedying errors, and checking measurement data.

Many of our products are already “Industry 4.0-ready”. This page shows some examples of our Industry 4.0 sensor intelligence.
