Calculation of belt speed and running direction

The conveyor belt speed at which mined materials are transported on their way to stockpiles, ship loaders, and railroad loading facilities is of paramount importance. The DFS60 or DGS80 incremental encoder for large diameter hollow shafts makes it possible to calculate the speed and running direction of a conveyor belt. The DFS60 encoders can either be configured via a PC or a separate programming tool, thus offering comprehensive programming flexibility to suit all mining requirements.
