Information pursuant to art. 13 of the Legislative Decree n. 196/2003

Dear User,
pursuant to art. 13 of the "Personal Data Protection Code" (hereinafter also the "Code), Sick Spa (hereinafter also" Sick "or the" Company ") as Data Controller, providing you with the information concerning the processing of personal data of Users who visit the site (hereinafter also the "Site"). This information is provided pursuant the Decision of the Italian Data Protection Authorities (DPA), dated 08.05.2014 concerning "Simplified Arrangements to Provide Information and Obtain Consent Regarding Cookies" (hereinafter the " Decision"). The information below is provided only for the site of Sick and not to other Web sites accessed via links. Sick collect and process the following types of data in accordance with the provisions of the Code.


Types of data and Purpose

1) Registration Data:

such data are requested during registration to the Site, including tools and procedures, and will be processed by the Company for the following purposes:

a. to allow User the access to the Site, for purposes related to the provision of online services required by the User and, in particular, to respond to requests of brochures, information, Sick’s newsletter subscription;

b. your previous consent, in order to achieve an effective establishment and management of business relationships, with particular reference to the purposes of commercial promotion, advertising, solicitation to purchase behavior, statistical and marketing processing relating to products and services provided by the Company, (shortly “marketing”), using Automated calling systems under S. 130 of the Code (e. mail, sms, telefax, whatsApp, call without human intervention ), and Traditional calling systems (mail service or telephone with human intervention)

c. your previous consent, to verify the level of consensus of the same, on the products and / or services offered, according to the analysis of the habits and purchasing decisions (shortly “profiling”).

The purposes referred to in paragraph b) can be realized by Sick also through the use of cookies, as specified in paragraph 3 below), with your previous consent, made in the forms required by the Decision.


2) Navigation Data:

computer systems and software procedures used for the site operations acquire, during their normal activity, some personal data whose transmission is implicit in the Internet communication protocols. This information is not collected to be associated to identified, but by their very nature could, through processing and association with personal data held by third parties, to identify users. This category of data includes IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by Users who connect to the site, the URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) of requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in reply, the numerical code indicating the status of response from the server (successful, error etc.) and other parameters regarding the operating system and computer environment. These data are used only to obtain anonymous statistical information about the Site and to check its correct functioning and is deleted immediately after processing. The data could be used to ascertain responsibility in case of computer crimes against the Site: except for this possibility, the data are kept for the time defined by the referenced law for the time necessary to provide the User the service required to ensure the transmission of the communication.


3) Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are downloaded on the user's device when you visit a website. At each subsequent visit the cookies are sent back to the website that originated them (first-party cookies) or another site that recognizes them (third-party cookies). Cookies are useful because they allow a website to recognize the User's device. They have different purposes such as, for example, allow you to navigate between pages efficiently, remembering your favorite sites and, in general, improve the browsing experience. They also help to ensure that the advertising content displayed online are more targeted to the User. Depending on the function and purpose of use, cookies can be divided into technical cookies, cookie profiling, third-party cookies.

The Site uses only Technical Cookie and third-party cookies.


Technical Cookie

Technical Cookies are those whose use does not require your consent in accordance with art. 122 paragraph 1 of the Code. Among these cookie, we point out the essential cookies, also known as "strictly necessary" (strictly necessary), enabling functions, without which it would not be possible to fully utilize the site. These cookies are used exclusively by Sick and are therefore first-party cookies. Are stored on the user's computer only during the current session of the browser.

A cookie of this type is also used to store the user's decision on the use of cookies on our website. Cookies cannot be disabled using the essential functions of the Site. Are considerate technical cookies also those used to statistically analyze accesses or visits to the site, also called "analytics", pursuing exclusively statistical purposes, (but also marketing or profiling), and collect information in the form aggregate without possibility of tracing back to the identification of the individual User. 4) Methods of Personal Data Processing

The data processing is performed with the support of electronic or in any case automated, electronic instruments, or computer, strictly related to the purposes expressed above and, in any case, to ensure the security and confidentiality of the data.


5) Personal data providing

The provision of data for the compilation of the following sections: request for information, request for documents, newsletter subscription, mentioned in point 1) letter a) of this Information is mandatory and failure to provide, also partial, of the data expressly indicated as necessary by an asterisk next to the fields of filling the relevant sections, will make it impossible for the Company to provide the service requested. The provision of registration data for the purposes of paragraph 1, letters b) and c) is optional, and therefore there are no consequences in case of failure to provide, apart from the impossibility to inform the User, on promotional activities or verify his satisfaction.


6) Personal Data Communication

Without prejudice to communications performed in compliance with legal obligations, your collected and processed Data may be communicated, for the purposes referred to above:

i) third parties engaged by Sick for the execution of activities directly connected or instrumental to the provision and distribution of services offered via website, including Sick AG, appointed by the Company for providing hosting, IT infrastructure required to operate the Site, and the management of the Site;

ii) persons who may become aware, as a "data processor" internal and external, or person in charge of the processing, appointed by Sick such as the staff of the marketing and commercial offices.

Personal data will not, in any case, subject to disclosure.


7) Personal Data Controller and Data Processor

Personal Data Controller is SICK Spa in the person of its legal representative, with headquarters in Vimodrone, Via L. Cadorna, 66 tel 0039-02-27434202 fax 0039 02 27434-258 e.mail, Personal Data Processor, pursuant to art. 7 of the Code, is the Finance Administration & Controlling Director, domiciled for the office at the headquarters of the Company at the above address.

As data subject, the User may exercise the rights under Art. 7 of the Code, below indicated. Moreover, as data subject, the User considers in future to object to the processing of data for the purposes referred to in paragraph 1, letter b) using Automate Calling System, that opposition will also extend to the Traditional Callin System, always preserving the ability to exercise this right of opposition only in part and then to one of the two modes of contact (Automated or Traditional).

The constantly updated list of Personal Data processors is available at the registered office of the Company as stated above.


Art. 7of the Code

1) The person of interest has the right to obtain confirmation of the existence or not of your personal data, even if not yet recorded and their communication in an intelligible form.

2) The person of interest has the right to obtain the indication of:

a) the source of personal data;

b) the purposes and methods of data processing;

c) the approach used for the data processing with the aim of electronic instruments;

d) the identity of Data Controller, Data Processors and Representative appointed as per art. 5, par. 2;

e) the subjects and categories of subject to whom the personal data can be communicated or who can get to know as Representative appointed in the State or as Data Processors.


3) The person of interest has the right to obtain:

a) updating, rectification or, when interested, integration of data;

b) cancellation, transformation into anonymous form or blocking of data processed unlawfully, including data which need not to be kept for the purposes for which the data were collected or subsequently processed;

c) certification to the effect the operations as per lett. a) and b) have been notified, as also related to their contents, to the entities to whom or which the data were communicated or disseminated, unless this requirement proves impossible or involves a manifestly disproportionate effort compared with the right that is to be protected.


4) The person of interest has the right to object, in whole or in part:

a) for legitimate reasons to Personal Data processing even if pertinent for collection purpose;

b) to Personal Data processing for the purpose of sending advertising materials, direct selling, market research or commercial communication.
