Waste and recycling

Energy from waste and emissions and process control during waste incineration

Waste recycling is becoming increasingly important as more and more energy is being gleaned from waste components during incineration. During this process, the emissions released are subject to strict limits. For example, the limits laid down for waste incineration plants in the valid European guidelines for industrial emissions, Industrial Emissions Directive (IED) 2010/75/EU, which incorporates the former WID Waste Incineration Directive 2000/76/EU, among others. SICK analyzer systems are used for incineration optimization, during flue gas purification processes, in order to continuously monitor emissions. SICK offers a full range of measuring technology and data evaluation from a single source.
