Improving the technology on older machines can be vital, not only to protect employees but also to improve the productivity and availability of the machine/application.
Machine Safety
- Does an existing machine still meet all safety requirements?
- Have past modifications to the machine unintentionally and unknowingly compromised its safety?
- Using obsolete safety light beam systems or safety laser scanners (LVS/LVU, FGS, MSL, PLS, FSG) leaving you at risk of high productivity losses?
Auto Ident, Ranging and Machine Vision
- Are you still using phased-out CLV4xx fixed barcode scanner? Now is the time to upgrade to the CLV6xx range with all of its improved features.
- You could find that the move from laser to camera would benefit your application by offering key data and extended reliability/precision.

Distance Sensors
SICK are market leaders in Long Range Distance Measurement Devices for Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems and Transfer Cars. DME3000, DME4000 and DME5000 have been installed on many sites over the past 3 decades. However, DME3000 is now obsolete and DME4000 / DME5000 are in the decline state.
DL100 Pro is the upgrade path for these devices.
The DMP-2 & DMP-3 postition finder sensors have also been phased out and are replaced by the InspectorP Rack Fine Positioning sensors.
Industrial Sensors
Do you need a replacement sensor? The possible replacement can depend on a number of things such as size, mounting, sensing range, electrical connections etc. Please email us with your current sensor type/model number and we will get back to you with the best alternative/replacement.
