Collision avoidance at overhead conveyors

Safety laser scanners can be used to fulfill the safety requirements on overhead conveyor tracks by protecting people, protecting hazardous areas, and avoiding collisions. Safety laser scanners are able to measure the distance to the leading suspended trolley even in curves because the scanning angle of 270° allows forward-looking measurements. Further requirements such as a stepwise reduction in speed right down to a complete stop can be implemented without difficulty using flexible protective fields.
