Checking oxygen consumption at valve train burners

Modern electric arc furnaces require large quantities of oxygen for metallurgical processes such as decarburization. This supply of oxygen is provided lance burners in the side panels, for example. The number of lance burners installed ranges between three and six per furnace. In order to monitor and set the supply of oxygen precisely, each burner has its own valve train branch for oxygen. These measure the flow rate, pressure, and temperature and a FLOWSIC600 ultrasonic gas flow meter monitors the values precisely. Pressure and temperature measurement is only possible in non-ex areas.
