Intelligent safety concept for protecting robots
An intelligent safety concept enables a robot to operate permanently at full speed. This is ensured by two deTec safety light curtains at each of the two loading and unloading areas. Using the deTec muting function, the robot can work in one area while a manned forklift truck replaces an empty rack with a full one in the other area. The robot can then switch to the other area. Two independently wired signals trigger the muting function. The robot control outputs the information in which of the two areas the robot is currently working. The IME2S non-contact safety switch detects the rack in this application.
