Set-up of defined functions

Professional commissioning by SICK ensures optimal performance of the SICK product. Commissioning includes the set-up of previously defined functions of the SICK product taking into account the interface to the machine or system and the ambient conditions of the customer application.

The SICK product and the respective system part are handed over to the customer during a documented end approval with instructions. With the commissioning, the customer profits from quick processing of the qualified SICK technician and the high level of availability from the first day. At a fixed price so that commissioning costs remain manageable.

    Prerequisites

    Feasibility analysis, taking into account the specifications for the SICK product

    Definition of the required functions

    SICK product is mounted, electrically connected, and connected to the plant

    SICK product is configured with factory settings

    Supply voltage and host connection are available at the installation site

    SICK product and programming interface are easily accessible without tools

    Provision of test objects as a reference

    Availability of the plant for the duration of the service

    Provision of test objects and bar codes as reference

    Feasibility study has been performed

    Technical characteristics and variants of objects and environment, and the mechanics of the application are in accordance with the specification in the feasibility study

    Bad / failed and good / passed test objects according to specification are available

    For NAV sensors: Attachment of the landmarks (reflectors)

    Supply voltage is available at the installation site

    System is uncalibrated

    Provision of test objects and at least two reference transponders

    Availability of the reference map produced by SICK

    The 2D LiDAR sensor and SIM are ready for operation on the manually drivable AGV, and are electrically connected

    The 2D LiDAR sensor that is mounted on the vehicle is aligned with the scan plane specified during data recording
