We use this information to optimize our website.

Here we use session cookies as well as persistent cookies.

Eloqua If you have not provided any personal user data to us (e.g. when subscribing to the newsletter or downloading a file etc.), we use the Eloqua analysis tool for the same purposes as Adobe Analytics.

Here we use session cookies as well as persistent cookies.

If you do not want Eloqua to be used on your computer, you can prevent this by following the instructions on the Eloqua Opt-Out-page

Google Ads (remarketing)

We use on our web page the remarketing or “similar audiences” function provided by Google Inc. (Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; “Google”). This function enables us to show targeted ads to visitors to our web page. We place personalized interest-based ads on other web page within the Google Display Network to target users who have already visited our site.

Google uses cookies to analyze web page use. These analyses provide the basis for creating interest-based ads. A cookie is a small file containing a sequence of numbers which Google saves in the browsers of visitors to the web page. These numbers record both visits to the website and anonymized data about a visitor’s use of that web page. No personal data associated with visitors to the web page is saved. When you subsequently visit another web page in the Google Display Network, you will see ads whose content will very probably reflect to the types of product and information you have viewed online previously.

This type of cookie is a persistent cookie which is retained on your computer after you have closed your browser.

For more information and to read Google’s privacy policy, go to: https://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads/, https://policies.google.com/privacy

You can permanently deactivate the use of cookies by Google by downloading and installing the corresponding plug-in from the following link: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin

You can also manage your Google ad settings at http://www.google.com/settings/ads.

Alternatively, you can deactivate the use of cookies by third-party providers by going to the Network Advertising Initiative’s opt-out page at http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/ and following the instructions provided to opt out of interest-based advertising.

Google Ads (conversion tracking)

We use the Google Ads online advertising service. Our use of Google Ads also includes the use of conversion tracking. Google conversion tracking is an analyzer service provided by Google Inc. (Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; “Google”). When you click on an ad placed by Google, a cookie is saved on your computer for conversion tracking purposes. These cookies expire after 30 days. They do not contain any personal information and, therefore, cannot be used to identify you personally.

If you visit certain pages on our web page and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google are able to recognize that you have clicked on the advert and have been forwarded to this page. Every Google Ads customer receives a different cookie. This means that there is no possibility of cookies being traced via the web pages of Ads customers.

The information that is gathered with the help of conversion cookies is used to produce conversion statistics for Ads customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers are informed about the total number of users who have clicked on their advert and been forwarded to a site with a conversion tracking tag. However, they are not provided with any information that could be used to identify users personally.

This type of cookie is a persistent cookie which is retained on your computer after you have closed your browser.

If you do not wish to take part in tracking, you can opt out and prevent the installation of cookies by making a corresponding setting in your browser software (deactivation option). You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics.
