Localization and personal protection during load transfer

When transferring loads, an automated guided vehicle system (AGV system) must adapt its protective field in different situations depending on the travel speed and direction. To protect people, microScan3 safety laser scanners protect the area around the vehicle. However, loads can be safely transferred to the AGV system. In addition, an RFID read/write device such as the RFU61x can be used to open the gate at the conveyor belt before the load is transferred. The NAV3xx 2D LiDAR sensor locates the AGV system using the LiDAR-LOC software and enables the vehicle to navigate autonomously.
