Hazardous area protection for tire building machines
A high level of interaction between human and machine is required on a tire building machine. Due to the many dangerous movements of the machine, its various components need to be individually protected in a targeted manner. Safety laser scanners are ideally suited for this task due to their wear-free operating principle and their large number of specially developed functions. The microScan3 safety laser scanner is available for protecting large areas, and the nanoScan3 for small areas. The modular Flexi Soft safety controller controls all of the safety functions on the machine. A particular advantage of the safety laser scanner is that it can monitor multiple protection zones at the same time.
