HIPERFACE DSL® – Your benefits

The HIPERFACE DSL® one cable technology saves costs, uses less space, and is easy to implement while also offering maximum investment security and machine safety. The protocol is redundant, thereby enabling simple implementation of safety functions such as safely-limited speed (SLS).

The absence of motor feedback connections allows for design freedom motor-side, which is extremely important in the case of small servomotors. Thanks to the additional functions like the electronic type label, the usage chart and the transmission of additional measured values (temperature and vibration), the HIPERFACE DSL® interface with SICK motor feedback systems transforms each servo motor into a data source for Industry 4.0 applications.

The opening of HIPERFACE DSL®: Gateway to the future

By opening the interface, SICK is now making the tried-and-tested technology accessible to all users. By doing so, SICK is providing a safe, real-time and open communication interface for servo technology.

As an open interface, HIPERFACE DSL® combines all the advantages of a digital real-time interface - established One Cable Technology and an enormous increase in efficiency - and is therefore an important foundation for Industry 4.0.
