1D code identification on conveyor lines

Barcodes are widely used in intralogistic processes for object identification, track and trace applications, routing, or storage location assignment. The objects to be identified are often moving on conveyor belts, sometimes at high speeds; furthermore, the distance between the reader and low-contrast codes may vary. These challenges can be solved cost-effectively and reliably using barcode scanners. Features such as fixed focus, variable focus or auto focus along with omnidirectional and six-sided barcode scanning make this possible – even in environments with ambient temperatures down to −30 °C.
