Gas purification in SNCR denitrification systems

During gas purification, ammonia or a liquefied urea solution is injected directly behind the combustion chamber at a temperature of 900 to 1,100 °C through selective or catalytic reduction. This causes the nitrogen oxides to react with the ammonium compounds and turn into nitrogen and water. This reduces NOx emissions. The GM700 measures the ammonia slip at the combustion chamber outlet.
