Advantages

As wide-ranging as their applications – color sensors from SICK
Color sensors detect object colors. To do so, the sensors emit light throughout the entire visible range onto the objects to be inspected, calculate the color proportions from the reflected light and compare these with previously taught reference color values.
SICK offers the right solutions when the color makes the difference: From tight spaces and fast processes to precise testing of color nuances.

Very high color resolution over changing distances – CSS High Resolution
With its very high color resolution, the CSS High Resolution color sensor can distinguish between color nuances that are even hard for the human eye to detect. Even with different object sizes and changing distances to the sensor, the CSS High Resolution assigns color tones correctly. Other device highlights are the output of the color values, the full-color TFT display and the IO-Link interface, which, for instance, enables parallel transmission and storage of up to 24 colors.

The CSS High Resolution automatically adjusts its color evaluation to the object distance. This ensures process flexibility.

Color values (L*a*b or RGB) as well as the similarity of a detected color to a taught-in color are shown on the sensor display.

IO-Link enables fast sensor commissioning, many adjustment options and intelligent real-time monitoring.
The CSS High Resolution impresses with its high performance in color resolution and sensing distance, even if it varies. Additional advantages are the output of the color values, the full-color TFT display and the IO-Link interface.

Fast detection of up to 24 colors in just one process – the CSS/CSX High Speed
With a switching frequency of up to 13.8 kHz, the CSS/CSX High Speed is particularly well suited to high conveyor speeds, for instance in sorting processes or for the fast detection of color markings. Using IO-Link, up to 24 stored colors as well as raw color values (RGB/L*a*b) can be transmitted and stored externally.

With a switching frequency of 13.8 kHz, the CSS/CSX High Speed distinguishes colors even at high process speeds.

Durch Verknüpfung seiner 4 Schaltausgänge kann der Sensor 15 Farben ausgeben, mithilfe von IO-Link sogar 24 Farben.

The CSS/CSX High Speed shows the difference between the taught-in color and the detected color. Color values (RGB or L*a*b) can also be read out via IO-Link.
