Monitoring of dancer position for the film tension

A dancer is used to ensure the sheet tension of the packaging film is even. If two-point control is sufficient to monitor the dancer position, IME inductive proximity sensors can be used for this task. They run reliably thanks to their very high shock and vibration resistance, plus they provide a high degree of positioning accuracy in the machine. The most important requirements for inductive sensors are precision, maximum availability, and a long service life, all of which the IME fulfills.
