Flexible sensor adjustment for the detection of transparent objects

When manufacturing bottled products in the beverage industry, it is necessary to produce a wide variety of product variants. These are transported with high cycle rates. To achieve fast, trouble-free transport of the bottles, they need to be detected reliably. The bottles can vary significantly, in particular with regard to shape and surface properties. The high transport speed and the optical characteristics of the drink bottles demand precise detection. Smart sensors, like the W12G photoelectric sensor, offer pre-defined detection profiles that enable the sensor to be optimally and nevertheless quickly configured to the various bottle shapes and surfaces.
