Storage Space positioning and empty bay detection for automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS)

Storage and retrieval systems can be navigated with the help of the PI50 vision sensor inspector and predefined markers. Any shape can be teached in as a marker, such as the details of the shelf geometry. The teached-in mark is detected with precision and can be followed accurately over and over. This allows for pin-point precise positioning of the vehicle.

Before the sheet coils can be stored, the TiM3xx laser scanner is used to check whether the intended shelve space is clear. Thanks to its incredibly compact size, the TiM3xx can be installed in a variety of positions.
