Measurement of freight objects

Two 2D laser scanners on a positioning unit are evenly maneuvered over the freight to provide space-saving static measurement of individual freight objects that are not positioned on a load carrier. Two LMS4xx scanners record two-dimensional scan data of the freight. The DFS60 incremental encoder provides high-precision speed information of the positioning unit. This makes it possible to calculate the dimensions and volume of the freight. IM Standard inductive proximity sensors determine the end positions. A IDM16x hand-held scanner reads the identification number of the air freight.
