Natural gas liquefaction
When being liquefied at temperatures below –162°C, the volume of natural gas reduces by a factor of about 600. Consequently, liquefied natural gas, or LNG, is very attractive for the transport and storage of large volumes of gas. LNG allows gas producers to supply any consumer market with competitive prices and high flexibility. And as the global gas demand continues to grow, the infrastructure needed for production, transport, storage, and distribution of LNG is growing in parallel.
