Identification of loaded pallets using bar codes

Individual load units, e.g. objects labeled with affixed codes or inkjet printing, are detected by a fixed mount bar code scanner and assigned to the load carrier, for example a pallet. The load carrier itself is provided with a bar code at pallet foot to enable picking and completeness checks. For clear identification of the complete pallet including the load, a pallet labeler typically sticks two labels on the wrapped pallet. Fixed mount bar code scanners enable reliable identification and picking of a complete pallet side including pallet foot with a two-sided reading process. This ensures identification of all codes on a pallet, regardless of how many there are.
