AGVs, ASRS, fork trucks, narrow aisle vehicles

Material handling equipment, such as AGVs, semi-AGVs, transfer/shuttle cars and manned fork trucks, are frequently used to transport heavy loads from one area of the plant or distribution center to another. In the case of AGVs, semi-AGVs and transfer/shuttle cars, no onboard operator or driver is needed to maneuver the vehicle from point to point. Navigating defined paths or areas, these vehicles are designed to increase efficiency and productivity, plus relieve operators of ergonomic stress. Automation solutions from SICK can be designed into or added to these vehicles to achieve productivity goals.

Telpher Systems/Monorail

Telpher Systems/Monorail

Electric Telpher conveyors (ETC) are a monorail-bound means of transport with individually driven vehicles.  The vehicles can move autonomously on the rail system.  Sensors for stop functions and human protection, or to prevent vehicles from approaching each other too closely, ensure a smooth, efficient flow of goods.
