The high-performance W15 Photoelectric Sensors use SICK’s third generation custom ASIC (application-specific integrated circuit) that incorporates OES3 technology to provide exceptional background suppression at an extended range. With OES3 technology, the W15 has the ability to ignore stray background reflections, detect multi-colored/shiny objects, and provide high immunity to ambient light. The W15 offers a snap ring that can be flush mounted to an 18 mm hole, reducing installation time and preventing the disruption of product flow. In addition, since all W15s are assembled in the U.S., customizable components, such as cable cut to length, cable wrap with customer-specific part number, special connectivity, sensor pre-mounted to a bracket, kitted together with bracket and reflector, help reduce material and labor costs. |
