CLV650 and CLV640 bar code scanners add more flexibility to SICK’s CLV600 family of powerful, flexible and easy-to-use 1D bar code scanners. With a simple setup process, exceptional reading performance and flexible data handling capabilities, these compact scanners provide high-performance bar code reading capabilities for material handling, logistics, and food and beverage applications. The CLV650 and CLV640 include proprietary SMART (SICK’s Modular Advanced Recognition Technology) code reconstruction algorithms and high-performance microprocessors, enabling them to read damaged and dirty bar codes. The CLV650’s autofocus feature, distance measurement technology and expertly engineered optics give it a competitive advantage in applications where large depth of field (DOF) and space are at a premium. In addition, the CLV640 is a cost-effective option for reading high density codes and for providing increased DOF in applications requiring an external input to change the focus position. |

Applications
- Material Handling/Warehousing and Distribution: accurately reads bar codes in applications where product is moved by conveying systems, easily accommodating applications with tight space restrictions and large depth of field. - Automotive manufacturing: The CLV640 is a cost-effective solution for increasing the depth of field using an external input, reading bar codes on parts that have a high tilt angle, and interfacing easily into existing Ethernet/IP networks.
- Forklifts and gantry robots: the CLV650 autofocus and oscillating mirror adjust to large distances for applications requiring a large depth of field, such as on the front of a moving forklift
