The new LUT8 and LUT9 luminescent sensors provide high-performance features at a competitive price. The LUT9 offers additional advancements, including selectable dual light ports, IO-Link and 2-point teach-in, making it the best performing sensor on the market. LUT9 versions with IO-Link capabilities continuously monitor process parameters from remote locations, providing simple, cost-effective diagnostics. Both the LUT8 and LUT9 sensors provide high accuracy luminescent mark detection in packaging, food and beverage, automotive, lumber, pharmaceutical, print, postal and general manufacturing markets. With an adjustable wavelength, these sensors are especially suitable for identifying hard-to-detect luminescence marks in recycled materials. In addition, a high visibility bar graph display and different light spot patterns provide flexible installation. |

Applications
- Packaging/ Food & Beverage: to detect florescent targets, such as safety seals on caps, labels and sealing adhesives.
- Automotive: confirm application of sealants and adhesives, such as LocTite®, in quality control processes.
- Wood/ Lumber: used in detection of florescent chalk marks on wood for saw actuation/ positioning. Long sensing distances are preferred to lessen potential mechanical damage to equipment.
- Pharmaceutical: in verifying the presence of safety seals on medicine packaging, luminescent sensors make the solution fast and easy since the luminescent target is either present or absent.
- Print/ Postal: used to verify the presence of invisible UV marks on paper and mail pieces.
- General Manufacturing: OEMs incorporate luminescent sensors into their machine designs to detect florescent lubricants, inks and paints on gaskets/fittings
