The SEK90, SEK160, and SEK260 are single turn, large bore through hollow shaft encoders offer a design without any bearings and have a low profile for direct drive applications. There is no need for referencing position at start up as the SEK90/160 are integrated with a HIPERFACE® output. HIPERFACE (High Performance Interface) is proprietary to SICK. It is the world’s leading communication interface between the drive and the motor and has been incorporated in a majority of drive systems. The combined incremental and absolute signals from the HIPERFACE platform offers the benefits of both encoder types in a simple, eight wire system. |
