2012 sees a new format to our Safety Workshops
We are now offering two levels of training:-
Free one day Functional Safety Overview intended to give engineers and management a practical insight into the Machinery Directive, Provision and Use of Work Equipment regulations (PUWER), risk assessement and risk reduction. We then take you through new Functional Safety control standards (BS EN13849-1&2) that are the only method for presumption of conformity, now that EN954 is no longer listed in the EU Journal of Harmonised Standards. There is an introduction to SISTEMA, a free PL calculation tool. Attendees will also receive free Risk Assessment and Safety Distance calculation software tools.
Next dates:
Functional Safety & SISTEMA 2 Day Seminar (BS EN 13849-1&2) which offers detailed training on BS EN13849-1, the replacement standard for EN954. The 2 days are used to look at the practical application of the standard and focuses on understanding and using SISTEMA, a free PL calculation tool for the IFA. The delegate will understand all terminology and calculations relating to MTTFd, PL, Diagnostic Coverage, Common Cause Failure and validation.
By the end of the seminar all delegates should be comfortable in continuing to self educate and converse in matters relating to Functional Safety.
