Shortest full-metal stainless steel housing: MH15V Food & Beverage photoelectric switches
Waldkirch, November 2007 – The new MH15V Food & Beverage family of photoelectric switches is characterised by its short housings, corrosion-resistant materials, cleaning-friendly wash-down housing design, and high enclosure rating of IP69K according to DIN 40050. Designed for use in the foods, beverages and pharmaceutical industry, the MH15V meets the demands of chemical cleaning processes, increased air humidity and high water pressures during the external cleaning of equipment. This has been confirmed by independent tests carried out by ECOLAB and JohnsonDiversey.

The MH15V family of photoelectric switches have been consistently developed to solve space-critical applications in handling, filling and packaging plants. The extremely short M18 housing of the MH15V Food & Beverage permits installation in locations where space is limited. If required, the new type of mounting accessories permit clever installation solutions. Particular value was placed on a sensor design that was immune to cleaning. The wash-down design includes, among other things, the full-metal housing made of 316L stainless steel, flat optics and the watertight enclosure category of IP69K – allowing rapid and thorough cleaning. Resistance to acidic and alkaline detergents and disinfectants has been certified in independent tests carried out by ECOLAB and JohnsonDiversey.
