SICK with IO Link: greater efficiency in machines and plant
- Reduced machine downtimes and equipping times
- Easy setting and management of parameters
- Improved process quality through continuous monitoring of process parameters
- Reduced maintenance costs through advanced and problem-oriented diagnosis
- Investment security through open standard
IO Link – a milestone on the path to transparent plant concepts.
- Parameter transfer (e.g. scanning distance, hysteresis, etc.) from PLC or IPC direct to the sensor
- Thus format or product changes can be handled within a few milliseconds even with inaccessible sensors
- Reduced downtimes due to detailed diagnosis ("see what the sensor sees")
- Continuous monitoring of process parameters
Position detection with the MZ2Q-C magnetic cylinder sensor Added-value: IO Link versions now available
The MZ2Q C-Slot – the world's first teachable cylinder sensor with two independent switching points – is now available as the popular IO Link version.
In mounting terms, the MZ2Q-C series was developed for the C-slot designs of leading pneumatic cylinder producers. As a result of the short travel paths, the low hysteresis and the short response times, the sensors ensure highly precise detection of the set switching point.
The IO Link version now opens up the possibility of integrating the sensor in the controller and thus in the visualisation system of a machine.
KT3 contrast scanner now also open for new possibilities The very compact sensor is now also available in a version with an integrated IO Link interface. In addition to parameterisation of the contrast scanner, the entire diagnosis and process logging can be carried out via IO Link. Use in packaging machines, in particular, opens up completely new opportunities.
The new sensor/actuator interface: closer than ever to the needs of your sector.

Pharmaceutical industry: IO Link offers new perspectives for remote diagnosis and automatic plant documentation.
With appropriate sensors and photoelectric proximity switches, pharmaceutical production and packaging plants can be created fulfilling the central demands of this sector: for machine validation right down to the field level. |

 |
Logistics: IO Link simplifies, among other things, fault management in handling and warehousing systems. From a remote location, one can now see and diagnose the process and the reason for its interruption with the "eyes" of the sensor, so to speak. This saves time and costs during troubleshooting and the correction of faults. |

The packaging industry: Format changes have always posed problems for the packaging industry. IO Link largely eliminates complicated teach-ins in situ. Critical applications, necessitating a high level of accuracy and reliable reproducibility, can now be parameterised and continuously monitored quicker than ever - via the plant controller. |
