Application Solutions
Identification of 2D-codes on camshafts:
In this case the 2D-Code reader ICR850 is used. Its capability to cope with curved surfaces makes him the first choice for this application. On the test assembly, a camshaft is identified through a laser marked Datamatrix code. The camshaft makes one turn per second.
ICR850 for PCB identification:
Today many PCBs are marked with and identified over a datamatrix code. In this application the code is read by an ICR850 connected to the pick and place system. The reader finds the code within his 80 mm wide field of view automatically. Setting up once is enough for all reading situations.
2D-code verification after laser marking:
The codes on PCBs often are put onto by laser. After the marking process the ICR840 reads the code in standstill and checks the quality.
Reading of 2D-codes on pharmaceutical packaging
An inkjet printer puts a datamatrix code onto the packaging of pharmaceuticals. The ICR 840 checks the code and forwards the decoded data, e.g. serial number or expiry date to the host system.
Reading of 2D- and 1D-codes on serial letters
The production of serial letters is a high speed application. Here the ICR850 is decoding the single datamatrix codes placed in the single letterheads.
