The WSU/WEU 26/2 photoelectric safety switch is used as an access protection to hazardous areas around machinery or plant. The device is securely mounted in the access area at a pre-determined safety distance from the hazardous point. When the light beam is interrupted, the device transmits an emergency stop signal to the machinery or plant.
