Take advantage of the proven value of distance measurement sensors to increase production quality and efficiency. The new DT10, DT20, DMT10-2 and DML40-2 sensors enable you to upgrade from simple detection to measurement applications where previously space and budget made it prohibitive.
SICK is the leader in distance measurement. We have all the tools to measure distances from microns to kilometers.
- The DT10 is an “upgrade” from standard photoelectric proximity sensors. Like the WT18-3 Photoelectric Sensor, which has the same housing and similar specifications, the DT10 precisely switches when the target is within the user-defined range. It not only indicates that a target is within a certain range, but it indicates where the target is located – for greater process and production control. The DT10 has an analog output that is pre-scaled and permanently set at the factory for 4mA at 50 mm and 20mA at 500 mm.
- The DT20 has a longer measurement range (90 – 1000 mm) than the DT10. Its metal housing is suitable for harsher environments (IP 66/67). The DT20’s infrared light source is perfect for the more difficult applications that require measurement in steam or fog environments. Similar to the DT10, the DT20 has an analog output that is pre-scaled and permanently set at the factory to distances defined by the customer.
- The new DMT/DML Sensors offer excellent accuracy and are usable in harsh outdoor environments that contain fog, rain, snow and steam. The DMT10-2 has a sensing distance from 0.5 m to 155 m and operates in proximity mode. The DML40-2 is a reflex style sensor and measures from 0.5 m to 1200 m. Both sensors offer a 4mA to 20mA analog output and two programmable switching outputs.
