Steam, water, acids and alkalis – it’s not just the photoelectric switches in the food and beverages sector that have to be very rugged, but also their reflectors. SICK has developed the reflector types PL10F CHEM, PL20 CHEM and P250 CHEM especially for the harshest operating conditions. Their material resistance has been comprehensively tested by the TÜV Rhineland and confirmed in Test Certificate No. 620/434628. Neither H2O2, nor acids, alkalis, alcohols, chlorinated hydrocarbons and many other materials can damage them. Tests with ECOLAB detergents, which also caused no impairment or property changes, came to the same result. The reflectors are not only highly resistant, but also highly applicable – because they can withstand temperatures of up to 100°C.
