Joachim Leins has up to now been General Manager of SICK IBEO GmbH in Hamburg. The industrial engineer will take over responsibility for about 100 jobs at Maihak AG. He is to continue the successful development of the company and, in particular, drive forward networking within the SICK Group.
Maihak AG has been a member of the SICK Group since 2000. Last year was characterised by the far-reaching reorganisation. “The aim of this project was to increase delivery capability and quality and re-focus our work on our core competence, gas analyses,” according to Dr. Cordes. Several business fields were sold or relocated during the reorganisation. In addition, production was comprehensively restructured and modernised. These measures led to Maihak AG achieving positive results again after several loss-making years. About 100 jobs have thus been safeguarded.
The outgoing Chairman Dr. Bernd Cordes will assist his successor Joachim Leins during the coming weeks and give up his post after the Annual General Meeting in May. He will take over new tasks within the SICK Group.
Joachim Leins will continue to manage the business of SICK IBEO GmbH until a successor has been found.
