The MCS300P has been specifically developed for process analysis: it is compact, robust and efficient. The successful product features and the proven technology of the familiar MCS100 have all been incorporated and systematically enhanced for process analysis techniques. It is not just the new, compact design that makes this new analyser so impressive. More importantly, it represents an innovative general concept as well as simple, fast installation and commissioning on site.
Well equippedThrough combination of the non-dispersive photometric measurement method and the interchangeable measuring cell concept, the MCS300P is able to measure all active components in the IR and VIS range. 2 filter wheels enable simultaneous monitoring of up to 6 components. For monitoring the process measurement, the MCS300P also evaluates external properties, such as pressure, temperature, flow volume and O2 content. To ascertain exact measured values up to 6 cross-sensitivity levels can be corrected. Variable analysis ranges also allow measurements from low (ppm) right up to high (vol%) concentrations. Automatic adjustment provides potential savingsOne highlight of the new analysis system is the optional integrated adjustment filter wheel. Comparable analyzers still have to use expensive test gases for adjustment and automatic checking of drift pattern. Due to the integrated adjustment filter wheel, the application of test gases becomes an option, not a necessity for calibrating the MCS300P.
Comprehensive safety functionsDesigned for measurement temperatures of up to 200°C and pressure of up to 60 bar, the MCS300P is ideally equipped for tough industrial use. It features welded-in connection flanges, integrated flushing chambers, twinelastomer seals and’is impermeability tested by means of a helium leak test. The measuring cells are designed for safe use with combustible, corrosive and toxic fluids and gases.In future the MCS300P can also be applied in hazardous areas; in ATEX zone 1 and 2 as well as for CSA Class 1 Div 2 areas.
Innovative communications conceptThe MCS300P’s communications concept is also new. All parameters needed for a smooth analysis are conveniently displayed, managed and set via the integrated instrument display. The innovative SOPAS ET software and modern communication protocols such as Modbus, TCP and OPC simplify the direct access to the system. The newly developed I/O module system allows for easy integration into the process network.
