Innovation and quality – these are the aspects that the new management duo of SICK STEG-MANN GmbH stand for: Josef Siraky, Development Manager and Stegmann innovator for many years, will in future concentrate entirely on innovative ideas with his “New Technologies” team. The new spokesperson of the Management Board, Dr. Bernd Cordes, was responsible for the worldwide quality management of the SICK Group for many years. He replaces Sven Behrend, who managed the company for almost five years.
SICK STEGMANN has been in the SICK Group since 2002 and is one of the world’s leading producers of special sensors for motors and drive systems, e.g. in wind-powered generation plants, solar parks, printing machines or robots. The company has achieved this position mainly as a result of its many innovative product ideas and trailblazing inventions – distinctive strengths that are now to be further expanded. Firstly, through the creation of the New Tech-nologies Department and, secondly, by appointing another experienced developer to the ex-tended management: Trevor Stewart brings with him many years’ development and project ex-perience from the automotive industry.
“Now is precisely the right time to set this course,” according to Dr. Bernd Cordes. “With its in-novations and its people, SICK STEGMANN has great potential for further growth.” The de-clared aim of the new management: to be the first in the market to resume growth.
