From 3 to 5 November the VISION International trade fair for machine vision and identification technologies will take place in Stuttgart, Germany. Please find us in Hall 4.0, Stand 4B71
The Inspector challenge is to verify quality and completeness! The part inspection tool set will get the job done no matter what orientation your products have on the production line. Conditions such as variations in ambient light and distance present are no problems for the precision of the Inspector! The Inspector Flex variants offer an easy concept for exchangeable lens and front windows. This flexibility makes the Inspector to cope with a variety of sizes and surface qualities of the target object. The excellent design of the Flex concept keeps the IP67 rating, easy-of-use and cost efficiency.
Highlights:
IVC-3D was the world’s first 3D smart camera, still keeping its market leading position. It is factory-calibrated and combines imaging, lighting and analysis into one robust housing. With IVC-3D, applications are easily turned into robust solutions using the included tools for inspection, robot guiding, measuring and identification. IVC-3D smart cameras come in five different fields of view, enabling imaging of objects from the size of electronic components to whole pallets.
The IVC-2D smart camera provides flexible, high performance vision for factory automation. With IVC-2D, applications are easily turned into reliable solutions using the included tools for inspection, robot guiding, measuring and identification. With only one camera you can perform any combination of advanced inspections and measurements to optimize your production quality.

To build robust solutions for measuring the true height, shape, or volume of objects, integrators needs both the flexibility of Ranger to optimize the data quality and get the 3D data in millimetres. To save the integrators’ time and effort, SICK introduce a complete concept for in-machine 3D calibration of Rangers. It consists of a unique calibration method, a GUI that assists the operator, an API to provide calibrated and rectified data into their applications. The calibration method is very easy to use and does neither require any accurate positioning nor any stable movement. It is available for free to all Ranger customers.
Industrial VISION days, presentations at the fairOn Wednesday, 4 November, 15.30 – 16.00 Fredrik Nilsson, Product Manager, Visionwill present:Easy 3D Calibration of laser triangulation systems
Ranger is the most versatile 3D camera available! It can be user-configured to solve the most complex and speed demanding applications. It provides 3D profiles at unmatched speed as well as MultiScan images to measure contrast, gloss, and scatter – all at the very same time! It is easily integrated into major 3rd party vision libraries such as LabVIEW and Halcon. With the new Easy 3D calibration-concept, it can be configured to provide accurate 3D data in millimetres with very low effort.

Ruler E is developed for tough environments with an in-built light source for easy integration. It provides calibrated 3D profiles at high speed via Gigabit Ethernet and is suitable for any application where the shape and size of objects are of importance. The Ruler E also delivers laser intensity and laser scatter which is useful to detect contrast and surface defects.
With the new version of Halcon 9.0 the support for 3D cameras has been extended to include not only Ranger C/D/E but also Ruler E. This makes integration of any 3D camera into Machine Vision solutions using Halcon very straight forward. Their latest release has several new tools for 3D image processing and supports all functionality available in the iCon 4.0 release including Ranger calibration.

With the updated 3D Camera Toolkit 2.1, users of LabVIEW can very easily integrate Ranger E/D and Ruler E into their Machine Vision solutions. The toolkit provides direct camera control and data access within the standard graphical programming environment of LabVIEW. The new toolkit version has full support for the latest 3D Camera features, including Ranger calibration and split of MultiScan data.
