SICK MAIHAK GmbH has acquired oxygen measurement business from Vaisala Oyj, Finland. 

   
SICK MAIHAK GmbH and Vaisala Oyj have signed a contract to transfer Vaisala's oxygen measurement technology and business to SICK MAIHAK GmbH, securing the continuity and further development of the OMT300 product line and its proprietary Tunable Diode Laser technology. Vaisala decided to divest its oxygen measurement business in order to better focus on its recently revised core businesses.

The oxygen measurement products are typically used in gas generation, inert gas blanketing, fermentation and composting process monitoring applications.  The products are based on tunable diode laser (TDL) technology, which enables reliable measurements with minimum maintenance. The products can be installed in-situ in the process and no sample conditioning equipment is needed.
